projects granta magazine
was founded in 1889 by students at Cambridge University and is today a leading literary quarterly which seeks to discover and publish the best in new literary fiction, memoir, reportage and poetry from around the world. Granta asked Bureau A.Z. to develop a concept for a communication campaign highlighting the magazine’s ongoing commitment to publishing the best young writers. Seeking to emphasise contemporaneity and timeless quality, Bureau A.Z. developed the idea of an ongoing series of portraits of renowned young writers featured in Granta taken by some of the best young photographers of their generation, with the aim of creating both captivating communications and a growing archive of imagery with its own cultural value.
